“There are things known
and there are things unknown
and in between are the doors.”
— Jim Morrison

Indeed, doors lead you to some of the most wonderful places and one of them is your home. Apart from the fact that a strong and secure door will keep your home well guarded, it would also beautify your house. There are many types of doors, each serving its own purpose.

Selecting the right type of door thus becomes much more important for your house.

Following are the types of doors which you can install:

Steel Doors – Modern steel doors serve both for the security needs and are also good insulators, thereby reducing the energy consumption.

Fiberglass Doors – These doors are surprisingly easy to maintain and they are ideal for any home. Fiberglass doors are cost effective as they can be installed with Low-E glasses which are ideal for insulation.

French Doors – Usually connecting the house to the garden, these doors have glass enclosed within a wooden or steel frame.

Panels – These doors usually have large glass panels which enable lots of light to pass through. They usually open up to a landscape or the backyard. Sometimes, they are also used indoors and are thus known as pocket doors.

Stile and Rail Doors – These are the classic door-types with vertical and horizontal components known as stiles and rails respectively. These doors are timber-based.
