Keep your home cool

Are you sweltering in the immense heat? Why is your air-conditioning system not fetching you the desired result despite leaving you poorer by several hundred dollars? Well, what your house needs is a proper ventilation system. With an efficient ventilation system, you can even let go of your air-conditioner all together.

Proper roofing – Installing your home with eShield™ energy barrier insulation will help you protect your house from the intense heat of the sun which is the primary source of heat for your interior.

Window – Get low-e glass panes for your windows which help in shielding out the heat and yet allow ample light into your room. Also, check for gaps in the windows so as to keep out hot air.

Paint – Do your interiors and exteriors with light paint. Dark colors tend to absorb more heat and it is just the opposite in case of lighter tones.

Attic ventilation – Ensure proper ventilation in case of the attic as the hot air needs a place to get out.

Green cover – Plant trees on the south side of your house as it receives the bulk of the rays throughout the day.

Also, keep in mind that the interiors need to breathe as well. While minimizing the use of your appliances which generate heat during the day, open the windows in the evening so as to allow the cool breeze to bring down the temperature of your house.
