Protecting A Local Grandmother’s Family Home With A New Roof Replacement

At PJ Fitzpatrick, our commitment goes beyond fixing homes—we’re here to uplift the community we’ve been proud to serve for 45 years. Recently, we had the privilege of helping someone who embodies the true spirit of selflessness: Miss Debra Aaron.

Miss Aaron, a loving grandmother in her 70s, has opened her heart and home to raise her four grandchildren. Despite the financial challenges of living on Social Security, her unwavering dedication to providing a safe and nurturing space for her family is nothing short of inspiring. However, the home that had been her sanctuary was facing a serious problem—an aging roof that was deteriorating rapidly as colder, wetter weather approached.
When we learned about Miss Aaron’s situation, we had to step in. A failing roof doesn’t just mean leaks; it can lead to structural damage of the home itself, health hazards, and, most importantly, a sense of insecurity for the family inside. Our mission became clear: ensure Miss Aaron and her grandchildren had a warm, safe, and secure home before winter hit.

Thankfully, we weren’t alone in this mission. Our incredible vendor partner, ABC Supply, generously donated all the materials needed for the roof replacement. Their support allowed us to focus on what mattered most—taking the time to replace their roof, giving this deserving family peace of mind without adding to their financial burden.

Community Helping

The result? A brand-new roof that will protect Miss Aaron’s home for decades to come and, more importantly, the comfort of knowing her family is safe from the elements. Stories like Miss Aaron’s remind us why we do what we do. At PJ Fitzpatrick, every project is about more than just materials and labor—it’s about serving our neighbors and making a real difference where it counts.
